Join this exploratory expedition in the dark which takes in artistically highlighted locations in the historic Utrecht city centre. Each saturday evening a professional guide shows you the most beautiful light art installations. Guides provide extensive background information about the project, the various works of art and the historic city centre.

Special tours: on 11 may (extra tour) and 12 may the tours are all about the  Europese kijkdagen (European Project-days). On 11 and 12 may you can join the tour with a guide for free, however reservations are obligatory and availability is limited. Please state "Europese Kijkdagen" when booking.

Because of a maximum capacity of 20 persons per walk, we advise you to book early.

After reservation you will receive a confirmation and invoice. After receipt of payment we will send you a voucher, which you need to show to the guide at the start of the walk. Reservations and payments are also possible in the tourist information shop at Domplein 9.
In case you book in short notice (within 3 days before start), please contact the tourist office. We will then only accept cash payments in the tourist information shop. So after wednesday for the tour on saturday it is not possible to pay via bank transfer.

This is your chance for a special experience you will never forget! Was that a school of light fish flitting away? And what is that written on the Bezembrug? During this nocturnal cruise, see the most striking Trajectum Lumen light works of art from up close.

Sail through the lively Utrecht city centre by canoe or whisper boat and take in the superb wharves and canals with a guide. See the historic treasures and buildings which are artistically spotlit with fantastic light effects. The possibilties:
You can determine your own starting point in the city centre. Please consult us for your starting time, as Trajectum lumen is lit when darkness falls. We recommend the starting at the tourist office and end your walk at a cosy bar or restaurant along the route.

Private guides can be booked for a maximum of 20 persons. For bigger groups, please contact us.

When you request a guided tour we will confirm the booking as soon as we found a guide for you.

After a delicious meal in the charming brasserie, a guide will take you along on an excursion in the dark which takes in artistically illuminated locations throughout the historic city centre.

Programme
6.30 - 8.30 pm: Three-course meal at Brasserie Polman‘s Huis
The Polman‘s Huis is a splendid brasserie that serves inspiring French cuisine. The impressive 10-metre high ballroom with large windows and mirrors ensures a very pleasant Parisian-style meeting place. Today, it is impossible to imagine Utrecht without the Polman‘s Huis.
8.30 - 10.00 pm: Trajectum Lumen guided walk
A guide will accompany participants and reveal all of the city‘s evening secrets. Trajectum Lumen takes in an increasing number of projects by renowned (international) light artists. Together, they will bring the past and present of the city to life in a spectacular way.

Price: E 53,- per person, based on a minimum of 10 people
